  We moved to Blaine last July and we've been retired 10 years now. Since moving to Blaine I've learned to appreciate the postal service we had in previous locations. Temporary mail forwarding has been spotty at best, I learned not to rely on forwarded bills and regularly call the City of Blaine and Cascade Natural Gas for bills that just don't get forwarded many times. We just went on a 10 day trip and had our mail held. I correctly received an email toward the end of our trip informing me the mail would resume on the 30th with all the held mail delivered. On the 31st we got a few pieces of mail then nothing for a few days. Then (days later) all the held mail was delivered including with mail for someone else with a completely different name and address. I took the other person's mail back to the post office and waited 10 minutes for a supervisor to talk to and eventually ran out of time waiting, so I figured I'd air my concerns here.

  I went in to pick up a package at General Delivery, which is a common occurrence for me since I live on the road. The guy at the counter was pleasant, and he went back to look. But after a minute or so he returned saying, "Nope, nothing there." I gave him the tracking number and showed the email on my phone that said "Out for delivery", so he went back to study it some more. Second time he comes back, he says I need to scoot over to the side because the supervisor will be out in just a second to take care of it. I scoot, and presently here comes a pissed-off looking gal pulling a cart loaded with boxes. "No, no, not mine," I said, "just one box for me." Somehow my name and the tracking number got lost in the unfolding drama. She doesn't even look at the addressees' names on the boxes, she just starts venting about how they're getting more mail via General Delivery than through the PO boxes, and they're putting a stop to it right now. "No more General Delivery!" she says at first. "Gee, so I can't pick up my box?" She huffs away with the cart, and another gal shows up with my box. "One delivery!" she says, "That's all you get!" Her eyes are squinted, and her mouth is in a sneer. The rage is palpable. The air is crackling with hostility. Other customers are staring in shocked disbelief. The words "go postal" came to mind, but no gun was produced so I didn't hit the floor. She handed me a box with the Amazon Prime tape on it, and I ran like hell.

  Never knocked just left sorry we missed you in mailbox. Came in on Saturday line to the street never opened.
